ISPx Web Accelerator Operation Guide

First Time Installation

  • ISPx Web Accelerator Installer creates its own group menu. You can see this by clicking Start, and scroll to ISPx Web Accelerator. Clicking the ISPx Web Accelerator will run the client. Choosing the Uninstall ISPx Web Accelerator will remove the client software from the system.


  • While connected to the Internet, the client will attempt to connect to the server, and if successful a balloon dialog box will appear at the icon.


  • To determine if the client is already up it will display the ISPx Web Accelerator logo on your taskbar, as seen below.


  • If you see a red circle with an "X" mark on the ISPx Web Accelerator icon, this means that the ISPx Web Accelerator Client was stopped.


  • If you see the ISPx Web Accelerator icon enclosed with a red circle, this means that the ISPx Web Accelerator client is up and running.



    Navigating Menu's

  • Clicking the drop down arrow from the browser toolbar will show you ISPx WebAccelerator Menu

  • Disable - this will stop or disconnect the client from server

  • Clicking the icon will show you ISPx Web Accelerator Menu

  • Stop ISPxAccelerator - this will stop or disconnect the client from server


  • Statistics Menu – gives summary reports on the processed data


  • Clicking Statistics will give the basic traffic information of the original data, actual data (after compression) and the savings ratio.


  • Clicking the Details will give the statistical information of every object downloaded from the Internet.


  • Performance Menu – provides information on the performance of the accelerator taking an account of the duration and total processed data.


  • Performance dialogue shows the current connection speed and the estimated time savings.
    The current connection speed should be close to the connection speed shown in your modem connection window. The estimated time savings is the difference between the time you spend on browsing those site with the accelerator and that with un-accelerated connection. The Reset button will clear all information.


  • Settings Menu – set here are your configurations to be used while you are online.

    NOTE: Any modifications to be made under Settings will require the user to restart for the changes to take effect.


  • Image Quality tab gives the user the freedom to configure the quality of image objects, on how it will be delivered to your browser. The adjustments of images will be in contrast with your acceleration.
    The higher the speed, the lower the quality of images, while increasing the quality images will lower the acceleration (speed).

    Default Settings
    Acceleration: Very High
    Image Quality: Good


  • Connection tab - This portion you will require you to type the username and password that you registered in ISPx Web Accelerator registration site.


  • Clicking Advanced will show you the Remote Server Hostname, Server Port and Local Listening Port.


  • Features tab will allow you to select features that you want to enable, just click on the box to enable the features you want.


  • Proxy Exclusion dialog box under "Features" allows you to bypass the use of proxies. This will be important for security reasons. Secured websites (Secure Socket Layer) like banking, online stores and others which require privacy of information, need NOT be represented by proxies as they logged the unique IP address of the accessing client.


  • To set click the radio button to Specify a proxy exclusion list


  • NOTE: In case you have trouble accessing sites, you can include the URL address here and try to access it again or else if you have a ready exclusion setting on your browser you can select Use browser's proxy exclusion settings.


  • You can add website in the Proxy Settings in your browser if select Use browser's proxy exclusion settings.
  • Open your browser then click Tools, Internet Option, Connections, Settings, under Proxy server click Advance. You can add website URL in the Exeptions.


  • Update tab shows the client version installed. Click Update Now to update client version


  • Pop-Up Blocker Menu - this feature blocks unwanted pop-up advertisements


  • Options tab allows you to control unwanted pop-up advertisements.
    Click checkbox and OK to apply the feature, changes will only take effect after the client has restarted.


  • White List is the list of legitimate web sites that you allow to show pop-up’s. The client has a default white list that contains ispx.com.ph, netplay.ph and tri-isys.com. Only pop-up's from these sites will be allowed.


  • To add to the list, just click the Add button then type the URL address of the site you want to add into white list.


  • Logging tab here you can see total popups blocked and logs of all URL blocked by ISPx Web Accelerator pop-up blocker.


  • Privacy Manager -The Privacy Manager protects user privacy by disguising the source IP address of all outbound HTTP requests sent through ISPx Web Accelerator. Service Providers still have the ability to retrieve the user IP address, if required, for security and law-enforcement purposes.
  • The Privacy Manager provides end-users an easy way to delete Internet Cookies, History, Cache and Temporary Files right from the ISPx Web Accelerator Client.


  • Click the Run button to execute Privary Manager.


  • Help Menu - Diagnostics will give you information about your Internet connection status and your accelerator settings. Support Website will redirect you to the ISPx Web Accelerator official website, and About shows the version of the client currently installed.


  • Click Run Tests to check the needed resources and files for stability of the operation and its connection to the server.


  • A user-friendly dialog box displays diagnostics test results via easy to grasp status indicators (green circle - good/running, yellow triangle with an exclamation mark - problem/trouble).


  • If there is a problem, the user can email the underlying detailed diagnostics report to support@tri-isys.com by clicking on the Create Report button. Detailed instructions on how to email a complete Diagnostics log to the Tri-Isys Internet Helpdesk are also provided. Then click OK


  • After clicking ok you can paste the results into an email and send it to support@tri-isys.com


  • "About" shows the client software information the version of the software, build date, and build time.


  • Exit terminates the client software operation.
